1939 Ford Two-Door Standard Sedan Street Rod. This ALL
STEEL CAR is the real thing and Titled as such. It was built
right with all of the desirable amenities. This seasoned road
veteran has just under 25,000 miles on it since built, and
It's road manners are superb!!! Strong running and reliable 350
CID motor with a Four barrel carb and electronic
ignition and RV camshaft. The transmission is a Turbo
350 Automatic, and the GM rear differential has highway gears
in it.. Adding to the drivability of the car is a Heist Mustang
II front end with disc brakes. Power steering
equipped, and other attributes that add to the driving experience
include a Tilt steering column, ice cold Vintage Air A/C
system , AM/FM/CD player concealed in the glove box,
lighted shift indicator and great looking and fully functional
VDO gauges. The Painless wiring harness insures reliable
electricals, and the Walker aluminum radiator and electric
fan on a manual switch will always keep it cool. Dynamat insulation
throughout keeps it quiet and reduces heat.
Inspection of the exterior of the car reveals a very good-to
excellent clear-coat paint in a tasteful and subtle Dove Grey. No
dents anywhere, one pretty good sized scratch on the driver-side
front fender, some minor chips on the passenger-side door edge not
visible when the door is closed. The factory vent just forward of
the windshield has been filled in, and road vibration has caused
minor cracking in this area. A few pebble chips exist on the front
end and painted grill surfaces that have been touched up. One rust
bubble has appeared on the passenger-side door at the base on this 5
year-old plus build, and the car looks straight when you look down
both sides of the car. Excellent body panel alignment, and both
door, hood and trunk will open and close as they should. The
pinstripe flames are painted-on in Blue and look nice. The car has
received all new glass when built although a hairline crack exists
on the passenger-rear that does not appear to be growing. All
chromed trim items were redone as well, and are in excellent
condition. The exterior of this car is wonderful to look at, and the
2 drop spindle front suspension gives the car an
aggressive stance. We can have the car professionally touched-up at
a dicount rate at your expense, and only after the car has been paid
in full.
Inspection of the interior of the car reveals professionally
done Tweed and cloth upholstery in excellent condition. The
headliner is tight and gorgeous to look at. The Dash and steering
column are nicely painted, and the expensive Banjo steering wheel
adds to the look. The carpets are as-new. Very comfortable inside
and pleasing to the eye.
Inspection of the trunk area shows to be completely finished
out in carpeting and cloth. Spare tire and jack are present, no tire
iron. A manually switched trunk light is mounted above and functions
correctly.
Inspection of the undercarriage shows to be driver quality, dirty
from road grime but solid and completely gone through when built.
This was obviously a frame-off build, as chassis
components such as body mounting hardware are NOT painted over.
In fact, it appears that everything on the car has restored, painted
and then installed, an indication we use to verify a professional
build. Those who know will agree this was not the first car they
ever built.
Inspection
of the vehicle is available Monday through Saturday at the following
address: 536 Long Creek Rd. Sunnyvale, TX. 75182.
